As competition among global cities intensifies each year, London has once again managed to retain its position at the top. According to the “World’s Best Cities 2026” report prepared by Resonance Consultancy in collaboration with Ipsos, London has been ranked the world’s best city for the 11th consecutive year.

This comprehensive annual report evaluates cities not only by their economic performance but also through multiple dimensions such as livability, city appeal, and prosperity. London demonstrated strong performance across all three categories, securing first place in the overall ranking.

The World’s Best City of 2026: LONDON

According to the report, London ranked first globally in the prosperity category, second in lovability, which measures the city experience, and third in livability. This balanced performance shows that London is not only a powerful economic hub but also one of the most attractive cities in the world in terms of quality of life, cultural diversity, and urban experience.

London is followed by New York in second place and Paris in third. However, London’s ability to remain at the top for 11 consecutive years demonstrates the city’s exceptional strength as a global urban brand.

CEO Chris Fair: “This Is More Than Just a Ranking”

Resonance Consultancy CEO Chris Fair emphasized that the report is far more than a simple city ranking. According to Fair, the study provides an important analysis that highlights the strategic trends shaping the future of cities.

Chris Fair stated:

“This report is not just a list ranking cities. It also provides city leaders and decision-makers with a strategic roadmap on how they can shape the cities of the future.”

Fair also noted that London’s strengths extend beyond economic performance. Thanks to its cultural diversity, strong education ecosystem, and global connectivity, the city continues to serve as a major international attraction.

London’s Tourism and Global Influence

The report also indicates that urban tourism has entered a strong recovery phase after the pandemic, and London’s number of international visitors is expected to increase by more than 20% over the next five years.
